I was on Depo-Prevera(theshot) a while back, and 1 side effect was I had painless spasms in my uterus that felt similar to a 3-4 month old fetus feels like moving around, but I know I'm not pregnant. I'm off Depo, and they went away for a while, but, now have returned. Has anyone out there had a similar feeling? Should I be concerned enough to go to the doctor?
Answer:
It could be an ovarian cysts. Your symptoms sound like so that I have experienced while having a 2cm cyst on my ovary. You might want to get it checked out..Better safe than sorry! God Bless!
I am a 31 year old mother of 3 girls, and YES, I have felt this before. I was just sitting relaxing one night, and I swear it felt as if something inside of me was moving. It reminded me of being pregnate. But in the end, I do believe is was just gas. Dont get any hopes up.
I think it's just inner abdominal muscles spasming. It happens to me a lot, especially after exersizing. It feels like the first little flutters you feel when you're pregnant. I don't think they're a problem.
Yes!! I'm having that problem right now! I'm on the web looking for other people who have experienced it. I have the Mirena IUD and was thinking it might be that, but I haven't seen uterine spasms on any of the Mirena side effects boards. It's been the weirdest thing all morning because I know I'm not pregnant but it sure does feel like a baby is in there kicking me...a lot! The spasms are so strong I could feel them with my hand on my stomach! I thought at first it was gas, but all the movement has been centered right in the front where my uterus is. This is so weird...
