Has any women been sterilised? has it caused more stomach trouble than had before?

I was sterelised when I was 25 after having 5 kids, worst decision I have ever made! I have had extremely heavy periods ever since being sterelised, I am on for 10 days really heavily.

Yes it did with me.

I had very heavy periods after and ended up having a hysterectomy a few years later.

It was my own fault,my doctor warned me it would happen.

I had a hysterectomy and have had severe bowel trouble since....any time you have sugery on your abdomen you are risking adhesions (scar tissue) and if the scar tissue gets on your bowels then you will have pain and trouble going...etc

i was done years ago, it can cause pain, but i found less painful than the coil

A family member was sterilised last year and she doesn't really have stomach trouble so to speak but she definitely has heavier periods and needs to pass water much more frequently due to pain 'holding it in' - her doctor reckons that they may have rested an instrument on her bladder during the procedure therefore making it weaker
