i do not have pms but have realised have been experiencing abdominal discomfort of late the first time was 2wks before my period and immediately after my period.

Yes, actually this happened to me with my child. I had no idea I pregnant for the first 3 months because I continued having my period! The first clues were that my pants were fitting tighter, I was having a need to urinate more, and experiencing a feeling of fullness in my lower abdomen. I was also without morning sickness, and the doctor thought I was lying about continuing to have my period. I'd advise you to take a home pregnancy test to be on the safe side.
This happened to me too with my 2nd child. I was about 3 months pregnant before I missed a period. Which, was really bad b/c I drank and did other things I shouldn't have done. But, luckily, it didn't have any effect on my baby. If you think you might be preg I would take a test just to be safe for you and your baby. Good luck.
