Has anyone else ever gotten the Mirena IUD?

I just had my IUD inserted on Thursday February 8. I experienced lots of cramping afterwards- as expected. Today is Monday and i am still experiencing very bad cramps. Should I still be cramping this bad? If not then what could be the problem?
Answer:
youll be fine
I have had Mirena for over 7 months. I had no cramping with it at all. I had a very mild backache that lasted for a week. I would call the Dr office and talk to the nurse if I was you. I'm sure it should be letting up in the next day or two. I hope you can stick it out I love having it.
I had menstrual-like cramps for about a week. If it lasts much longer or if they are unusually intense, you should contact your doctor just to make sure everything is fine. Once you get over this, though, it is a wonderful form of birth control.

I hope this helps!
I have had mine for almost 3 years. The only time I get cramps is sometimes when its near that time of the month, in which I only spot. It may just be your body getting used to a new object being inserted. If it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks, you may want to call your gyno.
