doctor diagnosed me with graves diseae, a couple of months ago but now says that my thyriod is not working hardly at all..waht can cause this?
Answer:
What is Graves鈥?disease?
Graves' Disease is a type of autoimmune disease that causes over-activity of the thyroid gland, causing hyperthyroidism. This over-activity is also sometimes called "toxic diffuse goiter." The thyroid gland helps set the rate of metabolism, which is the rate at which the body uses energy. When the thyroid is too active, it makes more thyroid hormones than the body needs. High levels of thyroid hormones can cause side effects such as weight loss, rapid heart rate and nervousness. This is an uncommon disease that affects 2 percent of all women at some time in their lives. Graves鈥?Disease also tends to affect women between the ages of 20 and 40, although it occurs in infants, children, and the elderly.
this is not a for sure answer so don't trust me a 100 %. some of this can be prevented with good nutrition and I am talking about lots of fruits and vegetables. You already have the disease so you could help your thyroid out by eating healthier and taking in better whole food nutritional supplements. Your health is all you have to live a good life. I think you should , I know you should check out this website, http://www.juiceplus.com/+es17918... you have nothing to loose and everything to gain, trust me on this. I have heard of so much positive feed back on this.
