Have ever go the bathroom and seat was left up by your bf or spouse?
Answer:
Im a guy and I feel that I have the force, because my aim is so good that i DONT HAVE TO LIFT ANY LID.
ya, in the middle of the night, when the light was off....I nearly fell in! cold and horribly shocking!
yes that is soo funny! but it hasnt happened for a LONG time, he's pretty good about it now
Yes, of course this has happened before! My bf always leaves the seat up, but I could care less...I never really understood why girlfriends/wives get so mad when their bf/husband's leave the seat up because I mean, how hard is it just to put the seat down before you sit on it???
Have anyone tried the breast reduction pills? like Alexia? did anyone get results? :)?
Answer:
Sorry but they don't work. If they did none of us would have gone through surgery to get them reduced.
Reduction? Why ruin a good thing?
Hi!
I have not heard anyone who has tried the pills and have a satisfactory result with their breasts. If you are seriously considering a breast reduction, you should be looking at the permanent option of a breast reduction surgery.
If you wish to know more on the cost and procedures for a breast reduction surgery, you can read more on the article at http://cosmetic-surgery.my-fashion-house...
Have anyone started shrinking due to their age.?
I am 43 yrs old and only 5'2 NOW whereas i used to be 5'3.So far i seem to have lost nearly an inch. The worst thing is being short to start off with but now you lose height as you get older.BAH
Answer:
We all do this....at 50 I am down a bit too....but if you are a woman, make sure to maintain a good daily dose of calcium. You lose calcium as you get older and it can lead to a loss of bone density and increased shrinkage...and a curved spine...
Apparently it starts happening from about the age of 25. A doctor told me it's due to the cushioning between the bones losing effect gradually so the bones all move closer together.
I was wondering after reading this about how your bone density was doing.
I've not gotten any shorter as of yet due to age. I'm 35 but I know I need to keep an eye on it because I'm prone to osteoporosis due to a couple medical conditions I have.
I think it is a natural process. You become bent from the backside and shoulders bone also get slightly curved.
In males, even the size of the penis get reduced after 45 or so.

Have any women out there pee in to a mens urinal with any luck doing it?
Answer:
Why?
probably ,but I am not one of them.
I can't say that I have done that before. I wont even squat and pee when I go camping! It's gross
Have any women out there felt a spasm in your uterus when you're not pregnant?
I was on Depo-Prevera(theshot) a while back, and 1 side effect was I had painless spasms in my uterus that felt similar to a 3-4 month old fetus feels like moving around, but I know I'm not pregnant. I'm off Depo, and they went away for a while, but, now have returned. Has anyone out there had a similar feeling? Should I be concerned enough to go to the doctor?
Answer:
The same thing has been happening to me. I got off Depo about 5 months ago. Since then I have taken 4 pregnancy test. Maybe its one off the effects of starting and stopping the shot. When you find the answer please email me
Sounds like it to me, but I have no idea what Depo-Prevera is nor how it might be contributing to your "spasms" and whether or not to consider that normal. I think you really should seek medical advice from the Doctor who prescribed the drug for you. Good luck and God bless.
i was on the depo too and i had spasms but i never connected it to the depo. i have spasms now too and not on the depo, a few times i actually had to take a pregnancy test just to make sure i wasn't pregnant. its really weird but im sure its perfectly normal and if its not and you decide to get checked out let me know what it is too.

Answer:
It could be an ovarian cysts. Your symptoms sound like so that I have experienced while having a 2cm cyst on my ovary. You might want to get it checked out..Better safe than sorry! God Bless!
I am a 31 year old mother of 3 girls, and YES, I have felt this before. I was just sitting relaxing one night, and I swear it felt as if something inside of me was moving. It reminded me of being pregnate. But in the end, I do believe is was just gas. Dont get any hopes up.
I think it's just inner abdominal muscles spasming. It happens to me a lot, especially after exersizing. It feels like the first little flutters you feel when you're pregnant. I don't think they're a problem.
Yes!! I'm having that problem right now! I'm on the web looking for other people who have experienced it. I have the Mirena IUD and was thinking it might be that, but I haven't seen uterine spasms on any of the Mirena side effects boards. It's been the weirdest thing all morning because I know I'm not pregnant but it sure does feel like a baby is in there kicking me...a lot! The spasms are so strong I could feel them with my hand on my stomach! I thought at first it was gas, but all the movement has been centered right in the front where my uterus is. This is so weird...

Have any one had or going to have A breast reduction?
I am thinking about getting a breast Reduction.... My chest size is a 42 DD ALOT of times I get pain in my Brests and its very hard to find shirts that fit because of my big breast.....But I still havnt made my decision on it let. March 1st I have a apointment to see a plastic surgeon.
Answer:
Congrats! I had my breast reduction Feb 2006 and I love it. So does my back!
Make sure you see at least THREE plastic surgeons before choosing who you want the surgery to be done with... I personally went with the second PS because I found out that I didn't like the first one. Look at their before and after pictures, especially of ones that have your body type and breast size. Ask questions, as many as you can, write/type them down and bring it into the office.
Take off two weeks at least for recovery from work, you shouldn't lift heavy object for at least that time, and up to a month. If you do more heavy work at work, then take more time off.
You will be swollen and bruised for a long time, so please be patient in your recovery. ANY questions you can ask your plastic surgeon, he/she is there to help you!
No showing your scars for at least a year, or until they turn white. Mederma and ScarGuard help to lighten scars. Which means bikinis for a year. If they see the sun (even through your swimsuit!!!) they will turn PERMANENTLY red~!!!
Your breasts won't fit into their final shape for about a year as well, so don't go buying a ton of bras in your size until about a year post op. I've pretty much stayed the same size, but I've heard from a lot of women (in a forum at one of the links below) that they dropped a cup size or two.
I went to amazon and bought Arnica Montana tablets. These help with your swelling and bruising. There is also something you can take at http://www.makemeheal.com .
I bought a few bras from http://www.breasthealthonline.com... two in my current band size and two a band size larger to accommodate for swelling after recovery. That site also has a forum with TONS of information. There are many forums regarding breast reductions that you could look at in case you need to ask your PS any questions, it really helped me out!!!
I wish you good luck!!!
I would NEVER reduce mine.

Have any of you ladies?
used the Femetone Pelvic Toner? Yes. Can you please tell me if it is worth seriously exploring, did it improve things for you, and how long did you use it for? Also is it something you have to use forever once you have started using it? Serious answers only please.
Answer:
Save your money and do kegels. They don't require any special equipment and can be done anywhere. 鈽?
It would be a lot cheaper to just do kegal exercises than to use that thing. Yes it may or may not work but at that price I guarantee I would never buy one when you can do kegel exercises for free and the same results.
i have never even heard of this!
My sister used it after childbirth - she said it helped her, I'm sure pelvic floors would be just as helpful though
no you are better doing your pelvic floor muscle evxercises. I don't trust gadgets like that

Has anyone tried Curad Scar Therapy???
I was wanting to buy it for my needed friend who needs it because she has BAD acne scars and i'm not talkin about me, I'm talkin about my friend. I wanted to buy her something to fade away the scars. Do they work in 8 weeks?
Answer:
It works for some scars I guess but my cousin tried it on her acne and got no results
Yes it will make a difference but they will not completely make it disappear. The only way to completely fade it out is a very expensive laser treatment
Vitamin E oil or cream can be applied to the skin in the affected areas, every day .The cream should be applied overnight. Aloe Vera gel and fresh lemon juice can be applied to the scars, so that they fade quickly. You can find more cheap and natural remedies for stretch marks or scars at the link below.

Has anyone heard of using vinegar to cure a yeast infection?
Answer:
Vinegar won't cure a yeast infection, but it sure will hurt a lot. Don't be cheap, go and get Monistat or one of the meds that actually work.
ouch!
No, but try the link below.
www.earthclinic.com
Good Luck!
No. I think it's alot healthier and safer to just get some OTC medicince for like 10 bucks...
I've never heard of that, but taking garlic supplements to treat them. I know from experience. Take 3000mg-5000mg per day until it's gone. No antibiotics! and it's cheap. You can go to Wal-Mart and get it in the vitamin aisle.
no but I have heard of putting a clove of garlic up there to cure a yeast infection, although I would never do it! My sister has done this and she says it works really well.
That will hurt, try an over the counter solution, or talk to your doctor...
you can use it as vinegar douche
Flushing your vagina with a dilute solution of vinegar and water occasionally--no more than once a week -- may help prevent yeast infection recurrences. The vinegar makes the vagina a little more acidic, which is bad for yeast.
hmmm Vinegar , dont know about that..
.
that may burn and be messy, gross, and smelly. and the arlic thing sounds just as bad, putting any food up there makes u prone to infection. get some monistat at your drug store!!!!!!
I tried all sorts of natural things to cure these in the past because Monistat wasn't working. Turns out I had a different kind of infection. If you're just trying to save money, I'd just get the Monistat. It's faster than the other stuff. You can run some warm water in your tub and put in a 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar and sit in it. It does help by making you more acidic. You could also get tea tree oil suppositories. These may work, but I put one in and it burned horribly. Some people use boric acid suppositories. I've never tried them. In sum, I'd use the drug store brand.
I never heard of using vinegar to cure a yeast infection but what I know what the doctors use vinegar for is when you go in for a pap and the do the exam if they see lesions while there doing a pelvic exam they will put vinegar on you lesions to see if is cancer because the lesions will turn white if it's cancer.
wow! the only thing I can say is Ouch
Has anyone heard of the American Cancer Society either reducing the cost or giving free mammograms for lower?
income families? Although insurance is available through my employer, it is so ridiculously high I cannot afford it. I am over 40 and I should get a mammogram once a year, no longer than once every 2 yrs. With my family history, it should be done annually. My doctor had mentioned something about printing out some sort of form from the ACS site that she could sign for me and I'd be able to get a mammogram at a significantly reduced rate, possibly free. Everything website I go to (I've been through about 100 different sites so far) has nothing in reference to such. If anyone has heard of such, I would appreciate the info or link that I need to go to.
Answer:
Call your local chapter of the American Cancer Society (number in your phone book) or the national toll-free number, 1-800-ACS-2345. The ACS will be able to tell you about any low-cost or free mammography programs offering screening to women unable to pay for it themselves.
Call your State Department of Health (number in your phone book). Every state now has a Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This program offers screening to qualifying women unable to pay for it themselves.
Call the YWCA's ENCOREplus Program for access to low-cost or free mammograms. To find which YWCA facilities offer this service and if you are eligible, call 1-800-95EPLUS or your local YWCA.
Call the National Cancer Institute at 1-800-4-CANCER for the names of FDA-certified, accredited mammography facilities in your area. If you explain your financial situation, some mammography facilities are willing to work out a lower fee or payment schedule that will make the test more affordable. Ask the facility if they are willing to discuss these options with you.
October of each year is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and many mammography facilities offer special fees and extended hours during this month. If you are unable to schedule a mammogram another time of year, you may wish to call in September to reserve an appointment.
You may want to check out the Susan B. Komen foundation, they may be able to help with low cost or no cost mammograms. You can also call the ACS to get a human to speak to, I think they have an 800 #.
Why don't you try contacting your local chapter of the American Cancer Society and ask them? If they are not doing the low cost mammograms, they will probably be able to steer you towards somebody that is.
I don't know where you are located, but there are programs available for low income families and for those at high risk. My doctor had the paperwork in her office here in western NY for testing fincluding colorectal cancer screening, pap smear and mammogram, but it may be different where you are. Check with your local hospitals and the local cancer society chapter and if there is a program in your area, they should be aware of it and be able to direct you in the right direction. You are right, you should be checked each year after age 40 if there is a family history of cancer.
Occasionally, you can get them for free from a large hospital during a campaign. If I was you, I would call a few hospitals close to you and ask to speak with someone from the Mammography Department. If anyone should know, it would be them. I knkow without insurance folks are spending too much on doctors and hospitals.聽Premier Health Care Savings Plan is America's #1 non-insurance alternative to reducing doctor and hospital bills, dental, prescription, vision, %26 more.聽There are no medical聽or age restrictions, and I would love to tell you more about it when you get a minute.

Has anyone heard of isolagen?
Answer:
Exton, USA, November 8, 2006. Isolagen, Inc. (Amex: ILE) announced today its intention, subject to consultation with its UK workforce, to close Isolagen Europe Ltd., its UK operations.
"The closure of the UK operations is a difficult decision based on a full business analysis," said Nicholas L. Teti, Isolagen Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "While we value the hard work and commitment of our UK staff, sustaining further financial losses in the UK business is not in the Company's best interest."

Isolagen Process
Isolagen鈥檚 patented autologous (a patient鈥檚 own cells) living cell therapy, or ACS, begins with the injection of a local anesthetic to numb a small section of skin behind the ear. This area was chosen because of its vascularity, lack of sun exposure, and the invisibility of any scarring.
yep!
Has anyone heard of homozygous 4pai gene mutation?
I can't find any information on the internet. Am I spelling it correctly? It's a gene disorder that causes quick clotting, if a woman has it she must take Asprin during pregnancy to keep from possible miscarriage. It is not listed on WebMD. If anyone can give me any information I would be very happy!
Thanks!
Answer:
Anti carido lipin, Lupus anti coagulant and antiphospholilpd are antibodies associated with miscarriages. Gene mutations such as , anti thrombin III , MTHFR , and Prothrombin are all implicated in miscarriages also, however I am not familiar with the "4pai" u have mentioned.
At least tell me what language is it so I can help you? Thank you.
Well I am not sure if this is the same thing, but I found a link here to maybe help you...it is http://www2.uchsc.edu/thrombophilia/docs...
Hope that this helps you in some way..
Thanks!

Has anyone had to use a fleet regular enema or bisacodyl enema for constipation? Can you tell me about it?
Answer:
I have had to provide fleet enemas to many patients for either a disorder they had or to prepare them for an examination. Are you referring to the drink mixture that cleans out your system or having an actual enema? I'm not quite sure what you want to know, but if you do not have much experience with laxatives, here's what you should know: Cramping may occur and is common. Be sure to stay well hydrated with water. Also, there is no estimate of how many bowel movements you'll have as everyone's body is different - so I suggest planning on staying home that day.
What did you want to know? With an enema you put the nozzle into the rectum and gently squeeze the bottle of the enema until all of the liquid is gone. You then relax for about 5-10 minutes to give it time to work. Once you start feeling the urge to have a BM you go to the toilet and let the enema work. It does not hurt to take an enema and it is not embarrassing or anything else.
Yes (fleet) I have several times.
As soon as you arrive in town,, I'll take you to Calpines lodge for dinner and I'll tell how much fun it is.
I had both, but Fleet not only has a disgusting taste, make an appointment to stay by the washroom for the next four hours, it is like a bomb for bowels
Has anyone had serious side effects from using Lupron?
I have read that people still have their side effects from taking Lupron even after they are finished with the medication. I need to take it for 6 months and am scared if this will happen to me.
Answer:
Depo-Lupron??? If so i had to have shots of it for 8mo after i had a diagnostic laperoscopy for endomitriosis. It is a hormone shot, so it was rough on my body. Hot flashes, night sweats and I was very moody. In the end though it was all worth it bc i cleared up everything and I was able to have a baby. Which otherwise may not have been possible. Hope this helps good luck.
Yes, I know of several ladies who had some very serious side effects from using Lupron and it still continued to cause problems even after they were done with the medication.
As to whether or not that will happen to you for sure is hard to say. Just keep an eye on anything that you may notice if something occurs and let the dr know.

Has anyone had problems with their thyroid & what kind of questions should I ask my doctor?
I'm going to see a specialist soon regarding my thyroid. My OB/GYN has been monitoring the gland for a year now. My youngest child (I have 3) is 19 mo and I'm 40 yrs old. Menopause comes somewhat early in my family as well. I've been having problems w/ my period for a while %26 feeling tired all the time. My GYN said that tests showed that my thyroid is producing what my body needs but is working too hard to do it. My sister had 1/2 of hers removed in 2005. What should I make sure I discuss w/ my doctor? Please share your experiences with me.
Answer:
Symptoms of hypothyroidism are pretty much the same symptoms one has going through menopause. That's why its important to test the thyroid to rule it out. Chances are if your GYN has been monitoring your thyroid levels you are either borderline or are hypothyroid. The reason I say are hypothyroid is because your GYN may be going by outdated lab ranges because most doctors are. In 2002, AACE changed the range for TSH to 0.3 to 3.0, yet most labs will still have the range at 0.3 to 5.5. If your TSH is a 4.5, your GYN may think its normal, but high normal so he/she is watching it. Whenever you test thyroid, test in the morning only. Testing in the afternoon could stop a diagnosis because TSH is at its lowest in the afternoon. Next time you test, ask for a morning TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and an antibody test. For some reason, (probably because of the TSH) it is difficult getting a thyroid diagnosis. You have to read up on hypothyroidism and know what your levels are and what they should be. Basically a TSH over 2.0 will present symptoms. I have put links below for you to read before you see the doctor again. Your regular family doctor can probably treat you. The only reason you'd need to see a specialist was if you had nodules on your thyroid, cancer, or hyperthyroidism.
Do not opt for surgery to fix this problem. There are dozens of medications that can fix whatever your thyroid is doing. Ask the doctor what the negative reprecussions of your problem are and ask him for the simplest possible treatment to treat it. You may have to watch your diet a little more with a thyroid problem, but you should not be in any real danger.
My sister has thyroid problems. Your period was probably messed up because thyroid problems mess with your hormones. Just go to your doctor and ask what you can do to straighten out your hormones, medicines etc. Feel comfortable walking in the room and saying what should i do about my thyroid.
I'm sorry but I dissagree strongly with the other people answering this question. Thyroid problems DO NOT cause menopausal problems. I am wondering why your OB is monitoring your thyroid function. Did you have problems with your last pregnancy? Heavy bloodloss? The reason I ask is that your symptoms could be caused by pituitary issues and the pituitary is often damaged when there is heavy bloodloss during delivery. It also could be menopause mixed with hypothyroid, but there is no reason for your OB to be watching your thyroid. He should have sent you to an Endocrinologist. Most Drs don't know how to read thyroid tests....low normal could be a problem but they wouldn't see it as a problem. Look at your symptoms on this chart http://www.goodhormonehealth.com/symptom... and see where yours fall in. Good luck!

Symptoms of hypothyroidism are pretty much the same symptoms one has going through menopause. That's why its important to test the thyroid to rule it out. Has anyone had ovarian cysts? How were they treated?
I am having an ultrasound this week to check for them and wondered about how they are eliminated. Thanks.
Answer:
Hi, I had an ovarian cyst which was discovered when I was 15. I had to have it removed along with one tube. I then went on to have a healthy little boy, so it is not all doom and gloom. I think that the decision to operate depends on pain it is causing and size but I do not think there is any other way of removing them other than a operation. Good luck, hope it all works out ok for you
i have, on my first pregnancy scan i had one on my ovary but by the next 20 week scan it had gone
diet
fitness
pills
surgery
hormones
there are lots of things that could be done not one thing might be sufficient wait for the doctor to diagnose you before you panic
The ultrasound is worse than the cysts. You have to drink 32 ounces of clear fluid and then when your back teeth are floating, they put some gel on your tummy and mash around. Mine fortunately dissolved on their own. If they are large or suspicious they surgically remove them. Good luck!
hello! i have just posted about cysts. i got diagnosed with a cyst on my ovaries about a month ago! i am only 19 years old and been having trouble with my tummy for years now and only now have they relised it was a cyst! it has grown 11cm long! fortunatly it burst, caused alot of pain, what they were goig todo to me ( and might still) is put 2 holes in my stomach and suck it out,
I had an ovarian cyst and major fibroids in my uterus which left me in constant pain and heavy periods. I had a hysterectomy 7 years ago and it was the best thing I could have done. I figured I was done having babies and didn't need those "parts" anymore. I had my appendix out at the same time but they left me one ovary so I don't have to take hormones.
it depends on how big they area and whether or not they are twisted (not trying to freak you out) my friend has had many ovarian cysts which she needed scans for and at each scan the gynae' would measure them and see where they were exactly, and then just send her home....she had one that was twisted once, and they asked her to go back after a week to check on it, their worry was that it could burst, but it un-twisted by itself. if there is anything more wrong with it then they will remove it surgically, but dont worry, and i hope this hasnt freaked you out....good luck
most will burst on their own. Unless one is really large, you'll never know.
Should one grow too large and not burst, it will be removed through keyhole surgery.
They are dealth with by surgery. It is minor surgery and you will feel better when you are done.

Has anyone had bulimia for 20 years or more? What are the long term effects of this activity?
I have purged occasionally for the last 27 years. I am 40 years old and might go a month without purging, but then I might purge 5 times in a week. I am wondering if anyone else is in my situation and if they are suffering physically in any way.
Thanks for your time.
Answer:
The long term effect of Bulimia is really trajec, I am afraid. The throat cannot handle the constant purging, and will, eventually, start to bleed very heavily, and cause death.
I have seen many people with Bulimia, and watched them scarf down huge amounts of food at a time. Then, they excuse themselves to the bathroom. There, a finger is pushed down their throat until vomiting occurs. This is very much LIKE Anorexia. Anorexics will just avoid eating food, period. The anorexic's body starts to live off the body, itself, and the person will starve to death.
Bulimic people have the really strong desire not to gain weight, as the Anorexics do, but the act of causing all the food to come back up, again, will, eventually end in bleeding to death.
Anyone who finds himself/herself forcing food to come back up and to vomit the food, is seriously ill, and needs attention. Using medications to force diarhea or forcing a finger down the throat are very, very serious actions, and truly must be dealt with at the doctor level.
Normally, the person doing any of this has a 'not true' self picture of his/her own weight. To people with these problems, the mirror just lies! The mirror tells them that they are FAT, when, normally, these people are extremely thin, and in need of nutritious food that STAYS in the system. It does no good to tell these people that they are thin, when, their mirrors tell them they are just chunky fat.
Please, if you truly have this problem, and it IS a huge problem, see your doctor and tell the truth. Telling the truth when anyone is anorexic or bulimic is very hard to do. No one wants to admit that he/she is causing vomiting or diarhea in himself/herself. If you want to stay alive, see your doctor, tell your doctor the truth, and see how the doctor can help you. I guarantee, you are NOT even borderline heavy if you have any of these symptoms.
Effects of Bulimia Nervosa
The frequent purging that occurs with bulimia does serious damage to the body.
Self-induced vomiting:
# Damages the digestive system: it can cause a peptic ulcer which is an area of the stomach or duodenal lining which becomes eroded by stomach acid. These are known as peptic ulcers. The symptoms can vary, with some people not noticing anything out of the ordinary but others may vomit blood and experience abdomen or chest pains. The pain is usually increased when the individual eats or drinks. Peptic ulcers can be serious and need immediate attention if you are vomiting blood or passing digested blood in your stools.
# Damages the oesophagus (throat), since stomach acid irritates the oesophagus, which can cause inflammation and raw areas, sometimes making swallowing painful. Of greater concern is a rupture of the oesophagus, because this can be fatal in some cases. A Mallory-Weiss tear is the technical term for the rupture or tearing of the mucous membrane of the oesophagus at its junction with the stomach. It is caused by repeated vomiting and the person will have bright red blood in their vomit. You should always consult your doctor if you are vomiting blood.
# Brings stomach acids into the mouth, causing the tooth enamel to wear away, and tooth decay to occur, giving the teeth a ragged appearance and cavities. Eventually all teeth may need extraction. If you are bulimic, it is recommended that you do NOT brush your teeth straight after vomiting. Instead you should drink water, as this will be gentler on your teeth and help replenish lost fluids.
# Swollen salivary glands
# Stomach cramps and difficulty in swallowing
# Dehydration: The healthy functioning of cells and tissues is dependent upon a certain level of water content in the body. Also, salt and other minerals need to be kept within a narrow range. In a person who has become dehydrated, it's possible they are suffering from a depletion in salt as well as water. Long term dehydration can ultimately lead to kidney failure. Amongst bulimics, dehydration usually occurs because the stomach is being emptied of its gastric fluids.
Abuse of laxatives and diuretics:
# Causes constipation, sicne the body can no longer produce a bowel movement on its own
# Bloating, water retention, and oedema (swelling) of the stomach.
# Because the body is constantly being denied the nutrients and fluids it needs to survive, the kidneys and heart will also suffer. Specifically, a lack of potassium will result in cardiac abnormalities and possible kidney failure, which can also result in death.
Thanks for your time.

Has anyone had any side effects from the Mirena IUD, and has it helped with your periods?
Answer:
I origninally went on the Mirena 9 years ago and stayed with it for 7 years. the reason I had it was due to very heavy periods I was aneamic despite a good diet. Within four months my iron levels had increased to normal limits without the use of iron tablets.
I had light bleeding for around six weks after insertion but then the periods reduced to once a month for a year then only a few times a year until I decided to have it removed to start a family.
I suffered no other side effects from the mirena
and thoroughly recommend it .
first, i had this terrible hemorrages, then i gained weight (about 5 lbs) finally, after 3 months my body adjusted and hadn't had problems since. Just remember to go for a check-up every 6 months.
I had mine placed a little over a year ago and I love it. I've known 3 other people with it and they love it too. All four of us had decrease in menstrual flow or it actually stopped all together. Mine is just really light.
The only down side is I could feel it after it was placed for a few weeks until it "settled" in. It was just a mild cramping sensation but after that I don't feel it at all. The other is my husband says he can "feel" the string and it bothers him a little, but most men do not feel it. Other than those things, it's been really nice to have and I would get it again. Good luck.
Has anyone had any luck with ear stapling for weight loss?
Answer:
My former director swears by it. She lost a ton of weight. She said the way it works is it stimulates the vagus nerve and makes you feel full faster. Make sure you get the procedure performed by a very experiences and reputable doctor. There is an ocean of charlatans out there.
i have never tried it, it is waaaay safer to lose weight just watching what you are eating...
Ear Stapling? I've heard of Stomach stapling, but not EAR stapling. My mom has lost over one hundred pounds with the lap band. She only has one fifty left to get to her goal weight of 175 lbs. I would suggest the lap band procedure.
Has anyone had a kidney removed? What operations best? keyhole or normal?
i am in 2 minds to get this operation (in about 9-10 weeks), as i still don't know if i am getting keyhole surgery, but would like to hear experiences and recovery times and if it's any better now for people who've had a kidney removed?
Answer:
My nephrectomy was 20 yrs ago. I had no say about the incision, my surgeon called it "the half moon" Please bombard your Dr for details and recovery will be speedy .Good Luck!
I am truly sorry to hear that you may have to have a kidney removed but is it even possible to have a kidney removed through keyhole surgery...
hi there it is not possible through keyhole you kidneys are to large for that

Has anyone had a cyst on there ovary?
Iv been to the doctors as i have had a bit of pain on my lower stomach and my doctor said it could be a cyst on my ovary im waiting for a scan, im also TTC has anyone still conceived with a cyst? i dont have a fallopian tube on that side as i had an ectopic pregnancy 3yrs ago so i no its ot that.
Answer:
I was having alot of pain and finally went to the dr. Did a pelvic ultrasound which showed a huge cyst. In the meantime, while waiting to see what he wanted to do about it, I became pregnant and it went away.
I asked a similar question in the trying to conceive section, under pregnancy. the answers are here http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
it seems that you just never know. there seem to be a lot of success stories, so i have hope now. its not as serious as it may seem. there is always clomid which will help you ovulate. i think it may be harder because of the one fallopian tube, but your doctor can probably explain more, or refer you to a fertililty specialist. it could always still happen, so stay optimistic. good luck.
Your doctor may be only guessing. The scan will hopefully provide a proper diagnosis. I didn't have problems with cysts, but I did have an ectopic pregnancy with my very first pregnancy. After that, the doctor did the x-ray test where they put dye up in your fallopian tube(s). Everything looked clear, and it certainly did the trick to "open" things up because I got pregnant shortly after that. Three years later I thought I was having touble getting pregnant again and he did the test again and guess what? I got pregnant.
I hope all turns out well with your scan!
Hi, yes i had a cyst on my ovary, but i was a lot older than you and i had to have a hysterectomy. But please don't let my story put you off my friend at work (she is a lot younger than me) had a cyst last year and she had it removed, the month after she was pregnant and is expecting her baby in March. So dont worry nature will run its course. Good Luck to you.
I had cysts on both of my ovaries when I was freshman in high school. My doc put me on birth control to reduce them in size and they finally burst -which hurt like crazy, but I have had no trouble since. I am perfectly healthy. Don't worry!
yes, i was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome in july 2006. i basically have multiple cysts on my ovaries, and also have endometriosis.
you can have this properly checked out by an internal u/s, or in my case a laparoscopy. the laparoscopy is done under anaesthetic, but it involves a camera being inserted into a hole they make near your belly button, and another hole is made in your lower belly to put an instrument through to push some of your organs out of the way so the surgeon can see. its a short procedure, and takes a week or so to sort recover.
there is also the option of clomid (be careful, it can cause/make existing cysts worse!) or clomid - this can help you to ovulate too, and is also used for type 2 diabetes. can help sort weight issues out (pcos can make it difficult for you to lose weight if you have it). i basically had weird long cycles, and didnt ovulate since last april. i had my op in september, went on clomid and metformin in november and have just ovulated for the first time this cycle. i too am ttc (have been for 2 years and didnt realise i had so many fertility issues! i also have stage 3 endometriosis) - but i am hoping all the things i have had done/have taken will help and am hoping next cycle will be the one! if its not, i have been offered an op to have ovarian drilling (the surgeon basically drills a number of small holes in your ovaries to make them heal themselves, and they also get rid of the cysts) there is a good site you may want to check out called fertilityfriend dot com. there are lots of people on there who have the same fertility issue as yourself and are more than happy to help!
good luck :)
I'm 17 years old, and in the fall of 2006, I had a cyst on my right ovary. I went to the doctor and they just said that it was from not getting my period. I'm what you may call under weight, and I am very active, I run cross country and I enjoy just going out for a jog. Therefore, I never got my period. But he put me on birth control to decrease the size of it... now, I am still on birth control and my cysts are going away.. and everything is dandy. =) Don't stress about it too much. You'll be fine.

Has anyone got their period while pregnant?
I took a few pregnancy tests and they were all positive, but then I got my period a couple days after...has anyone had this?
Answer:
Ok NO. Don't listen to anyone who says you can have a period while you are pregnant. YES you can bleed or spot during pregnancy, which can be quite normal during the first trimester from implantation and early uterine expansion. (Light episodes of spotting, brown or pink in color are generally ok. Heavy bleeding, passage of red discharge or tissue-like discharges should be reported to a doctor. Always talk to a doc if you are worried about anything unusual). A period, aka menstruation, is defined as occurring in nonpregnant females. Just a point for distinction.
its possible,but unusual
spotting is normal
yes, i did. Go see your doc. and repeat what you just asked.
Its probably best to call the doctor.
I had my period the first month i was preg. It through me off because the ultra sound said i was futher than i thought. good luck !
call the doctor immediately...and schedule for a blood test to confirm the at home pregnany test and schedule for the exam..but definitely call the doctor.

Has anyone found a way to make thin hair thicker? So the strands aren't quite so fine?
My hair used to be thick and glossy when I was younger but, as I have aged, it's gotten thinner and thinner to the point it's baby fine now. I still have lots of hair but it's just very, very fine so I wonder if I took DHEA or hormones or more vitamins would it help?

Try taking Vitamin B complex and Biotin. Be sure to read the label on your Vitamin B complex because it may not have Biotin in it or might have very, very little Biotin. You can't have thick hair without enough Biotin in your system and your body can't use Biotin very well unless you have enough B complex.
#2, if that doesn't work, start taking silica supplements, too. Most Americans don't get enough silica in their diets.
#3, lastly, try collagen supplements. They sell both collagen pills and collagen liquids in most health food stores.
Good luck!
same problem! except im young
My mom always told me to eat eggs.... Its good 4 your hair and makes it glossy.... You can do the same with dogs... it makes their fur glossy..

Has anyone felt like this?
Do you get days when you feel like you just cant get anything done. No matter how hard you try you have to pospone it till later when it could be too late?
Answer:
everyday...but top tip.........you'll get nowt done by sitting on here all day x
Life is rather like a tin of sardines - we're all of us looking for the key.
All the time just now! Not functioning at all well these days!
Yes all the time
all the time...
Yes and today is one of them. I just sit on the computer doing nothing in particular. We all have days like that. I think its our bodies telling us to slow down maybe and take stock. Rest up and recharge batteries.
Yeah a lot of the time.. i feel like i just want to sleep and colapse.. and sometimes fall to sleep on my way home...
the best think is to get not too much but at least 6 hours sleep and Eat little but often throughout the day to keep your energy levels boosted, plenty of water too.. and when you don't feel like doing anything and just wanna chill you should do something.. keep your body moving and it will wake you up... if your having a lazy day but dont wanna feel like a slob then set a clock for every 20 - 30 minutes and when it goes off get up and walk into everyroom in the house, just to keep yourself moving and so that when you do move you dont exhaust yourself..
Good luck, b x
Just about every day ------- but don't you feel smug on those odd days that you can chalk up an achievement?
welcome to my world
YES! I am famous for it! Ask Dr. Phil and he will tell you it is "ignorance". You are ignorant. You feel the rest of the world can wait for you. You are the most important and everything else can wait. Don't worry you are NOT the only one. There are many of us. So far it has not affected my relationships, my career, or my credit rating (late bill payments, rare but occasional). However, I do not have kids. I know that will change things for me. At the moment I am enjoying being a little lazy sometimes...
yeah all the time!
All the time - wish it would stop !!
yes i feel like that almost all the time...right now im thinking about my messy room (its easy to when youre in that same room) and being organizationally-challenged as i call myself it is hard to clean up. i never know where to put anything and i can only work on it very few minutes without feeling stressed out and kinda tired (not sleepy tired the other kind).
its hard when youre a person like me who gets overwhelmed easily...im also lazy too. i have a bit of perfectionist in me as well so i want everything to be perfect and that makes it even more difficult.
i find that listening to internet radio relaxes me some while doing it.
I feel like that every day and its really getting me down.
Yes - all the time - I'm usually ok when I get going but sometimes can just feel really down and sit and eat chocolate and watch tv all day despite knowing I've got heaps to do! My best solution is to make sure I've got to be somewhere in the mornings so I have to get up! Also (be impressed cos I'm a girly girl!) I've learned how to program my boyfriends xbox to play my favorite happy tunes - you know, the ones you have to dance to - nothing like a dance for getting you on your feet! Eating a good healthy diet with lots of yoguhrt, fruit and veg. can help to generally give you more energy too.
If it's more just not getting anything done that's the problem, try making a list of everything you need to do and when you're going to do it.
Hope that helps! xx

Has anyone ever used Lipo 6???
I just had my twins and I'm not overweight but I have a little extra I'm trying to get rid of I excise and things so I'm not using the pill as an easy out but I was told it was an engergy booster and things....does it really work or help????
Answer:
It's suppose to be the best on the market, i tried it several days and it made my stomach ache, even after eating and taking the recommended dose, the best that will ever be, if u want to do it fast, effectively, but maybe take the risk of a very rapid heart beat, the one and only, the ultimate, EPHEDRA, yes u can still find it on the internet, ur system can become immune after a couple of months, but the awesome thing about it is, u still eat what u want, i mean its the best,
was taken off the market due to extensive heart related health problems
if u find it and order it, take the recommended dose, very strong stuff
i'm not telling u to take it, but if u choose, beware, u'll be skinny in no time depending on how much u weight now
some are gonna hate my answer b/c i told u about a great weight loss supplement, but the truth is yes its a quick fix, but u MUST change ur diet after taking it or u'll blow right back up
i dont think so. I tried it but no results

Has anyone ever mistaken you for being preggers when you arent?
I'm not the fattest person but not the skinnest either and this girl walked past me and was like,"awww..i LOVE pregnant bellies" and i'm NOT pregnant nor do i look pregnant.
Answer:
i haven't. but when my cousin did think i was pregnant, she was correct-twice.
Mom of B %26 D
You should of smacked her. Skinny bitches. That happened 2 me once. They were like well your fat I geuss you must ofh ad some kids already. Im like what? Excuse me?
Thats happened to me before. I gain all my weight in my belly so I kind of look pregnant all the time. But now I am pregnant so in a couple of months when I actually start to show I wont have to feel bad about it anymore. Until then I'm screwed.
nope.
Thats not verry nice just say umm excuse me i am not the pregnant one here! ! but i know there is one!
When my wife and I first got married, rather, the first few months after. We gained a bunch of weight together. Some people thought that she was expecting. Don't stress it, they don't mean it in a bad way. You can tell the difference. If they make a mistake, they look like the *** not you. We are fat and happy and if the world don't like it F' em!!!
No lol but my friends mom was telling me about a time she went to the airport and they wouldn't let her on the plane cause they thought she was pregnat but really she was just fat.
Rofl.
Yes, it's very annoying. I was wearing a dress with an empire waistline and I think he assumed it was a maternity dress. But I have also made the embarrassing mistake of assuming someone was pregnant who WASN'T -- and sometimes it can just be the clothing or the posture. And sometimes very pregnant women don't look pregnant because of the way they carry.

Has anyone ever had thyroid problems?
My thyroid level is (4) and I think (3) is normal. I have been dieting and walking up to 4 miles a day and dont seem to be losing much weight. I was reading where this could be from my thyroid.. Has anyone had this problem and if so when you got on medication did you began to lose weight? thanks
Answer:
I hope you are on thyroid meds. Once on thyroid meds, you should be shooting for a morning TSH under 2.0. Most like to see it around 1.0 for weight loss.
About weight loss and thyroid meds......the meds usually do not help you lose weight. What they do is help you maintain and make it possible to lose with diet and exercise, but only if your TSH is below 2.0.
I'll put a few thyroid links below. I think they will be of great help to you.
It is a misnomer that thyroid problems affect weight loss. Yes, thyroid problems can make you feel sick and depressed. But once you get regulated and medicated (something you MUST do) losing weight is all up to you. You're doing the right things so get your thyroid checked and you'll be fine.
Thyroid problems can indeed interfere with weight loss. A low level of hormone put out by the thyroid can cause your metabolism to be slow which makes it harder to lose weight. The opposite is also true. Having an overactive thyroid can cause unplanned weight loss. The hormone level you're referring to is probably something called TSH, which is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland. This hormone stimulates the thyroid, and if the thyroid itself is not producing enough hormone, the pituitary will make more TSH to compensate. Once the body has enough thyroid hormone, the pituitary will decrease its production of TSH. For an underactive thyroid, the treatment is to replace the hormone that your thyroid isn't making, which is done by a pill. For an overactive thyroid, the treatment is a different pill that calms down the thyroid and causes it to produce less hormone. Definitely follow up with your doctor and make sure that your other hormone level, known as free T4, is okay. If not, you'll need medication.
Go 2 yur Dr %26 ask 4 synthroid. It works. That's what they had me on.*

Has anyone ever had an ingrown hair on their bikini line? how did you treat it?
Answer:
Hey, I got one and I left it as just thought it was a little spot, I woke up one day and it was infected and a huge cyst that I had to have cut out. so I advise you get the hair out! The doc said to get them out with some tweezers.
i havent personally, but if soeone does i guess pulling it out quickly with a pair of tweezers?
I have it here and there, and when I do I just let it grow out. I have realized that I need to start shaving in a different direction so that I don't get them.
I get them all the time.if you can see the hair simply hook it up with a pair of good tweezers, then pull out.hurts for a second but heals fine.always works for me.good luck!
yes i have and cor are they sore i was in agony i squeezed mine and the hair popped out, usually thought they eventually come out on their own without any help, try putting some savlon cream on it thought that might help with the soreness
I have had this problem! Just pluck the hair out with steezers! It may hurt a bit, but its def worth it
Tweezers can be a bit painful - I've used a sewing pin (pour boiling water over to sterilize) and gently tease the hair out - the skin doesnt tend to break as much - and then make sure to put some kind of antiseptic cream on.
Has anyone ever had a reoccurent fibroadenoma lump?
i am 26 and i have a second lump after the first one has been removed.the doctor says not to worry. After 2 ultra sounds its another fibroadenoma. But unfortunately for me my life now is hell.i dont sleep or eat well.i live with the fear oneday i may have breast cancer so i may die.can someone help me.my world has changed.i cry everyday and cant sleep. If you have this problem i will love to communicate with you.maybe sharing your own daily experiences will help me
Answer:
Hi, I'm 23 and have had a few fibroadenoma lumps in my breast since I was 19. I've never had any reason to have them removed. I keep an eye on any changes and have them checked yearly by my GYN. I am not experiencing anything like you are....with the fear and not being able to eat or sleep well. Does your doctor know about this?
I think it's good to be concerned about the lumps, but....panic? No. Lots of women have lumpy breasts and never develop breast cancer. The fact that you're crying every day and are unable to live like you normally would sounds like perhaps you have underlying issues. Talk to your doctor about this---he/she can refer you to a counselor. You shouldn't have to live like this.
Crying is not going to make you better.
Just doing a search I found a few hundred sites about fibroadenoma and they are benign lumps. You need to research about this event and realize that its not unusual and you need not fret over it .. the more information you read the more you empower yourself. The percentage is very small of it ever being malignent. Unless you have this occuring in your family I wouldn't go into panic mode. We all have to die of something someday but odds are higher you will die in a traffic accident or in bed from old age.
yeah you can have recurrent fibroadenoma. but don't worry it is not malignant and it is rare.

Has anyone ever had a cyst on their ovaries? What are some of the symptoms?
Answer:
Yes, I have an ovarian cyst. Usually it only bothers me during and before my cycle, and when I move or twist certain ways.
One burst a couple of months ago, and I experienced severe pain, but once it burst, it felt better (I went to the ER).
Symptoms can be a pinching or cramping feeling, passing dry blood or "water" when it is not your time of the month.
Sometimes they will do surgery for them. I don't want surgery because I'm on Coumadin, so I'm holding out as long as I can!
Some are dangerous, and need medical attention...
Here's some stuff you might find helpful:
What symptoms are caused by ovarian cysts?
Most cysts are never noticed and resolve without women ever realizing that they are there. When a cyst causes symptoms, pain in the belly or pelvis is by far the most common one. The pain can be caused from rupture of the cyst, rapid growth and stretching, bleeding into the cyst, or twisting of the cyst around its blood supply.
How are ovarian cysts diagnosed?
Most cysts are diagnosed by ultrasound, which is the best imaging technique for detecting ovarian cysts. Ultrasound is an imaging method that uses sound waves to produce an image of structures within the body. Ultrasound imaging is painless and causes no harm.
Cysts can also be detected with other imaging methods, such as CAT scan or MRI scan (magnetic resonance imaging).
How can the physician decide if an ovarian cyst is dangerous?
If a woman is in her 40’s, or younger, and has regular menstrual periods, most ovarian masses are “functioning ovarian cysts,” which are not really abnormal. They are related to the process of ovulation that happens with the menstrual cycle. They usually disappear on their own during a future menstrual cycle. Therefore, especially in women in their 20’s and 30’s, these cysts are watched for a few menstrual cycles to verify that they disappear. Because oral contraceptives work in part by preventing ovulation, physicians will not really expect women who are taking oral contraceptives to have common “functioning ovarian cysts.” Thus, women who develop ovarian cysts while taking oral contraceptives may be advised against simple observation; rather, they may receive closer monitoring with pelvic ultrasound or, less commonly, surgical exploration of the ovary.
Other factors are helpful in evaluating ovarian cysts (besides the woman's age, or whether she is taking oral contraceptives). A cyst that looks like it’s just one simple sac of fluid on the ultrasound is more likely to be benign, than a cyst with solid tissue in it. So the ultrasound appearance also plays a role in determining the level of suspicion regarding a serious ovarian growth.
Ovarian cancer is rare in women younger than age 40. After age 40, an ovarian cyst has a higher chance of being cancerous than before age 40, although most ovarian cysts are benign even after age 40. CA-125 blood testing can be used as a marker of ovarian cancer, but it does not always represent cancer when it is abnormal. , First, many benign conditions in women of childbearing age can cause the CA-125 level to be elevated, so CA-125 is not a specific test, especially in younger women. Pelvic infections, uterine fibroids, pregnancy, benign (hemorrhagic) ovarian cysts, and liver disease are all conditions that may elevate CA-125 in the absence of ovarian cancer. Second, even if the woman has an ovarian cancer, not all ovarian cancers will cause the CA-125 level to be elevated. Furthermore, CA-125 levels can be abnormally high in women with breast, lung, and pancreatic cancer.
i had one once. I had really terrible stomach pain on my left side. crying and everything. that was because it had ruptured.
It's very painful, at one point I could feel the damn thing bouncing off the wall of my stomach when I walked
i have them on my left ovaries, but it was due to fertility drugs. it doesnt bother me. only on some months when im on my menses it'll hurt really bad. but other than that it doesnt bother me. it can be removed if it causes u to much discomfort.
Oh, yeah! They are horrible! I have had a cyst burst, and ended up in the E.R. because of the pain. My pain radiated from my pelvis down my legs, and concentrated on the right side because that's where the cyst was. After a round of meds, I was okay.
Best wishes!
My friend actually just went to the doctors to inquire about a cyst in her ovaries.
-Menstrual irregularities.
-Pelvic pain – a dull ache, either constant or intermittent, possibly radiating to the low back or thighs.
-Pelvic pain during intercourse.
-Pelvic pain just before your period begins or just after it ends.
-A fullness or heaviness in your abdomen.
-Feeling of pressure on your bladder or rectum.
-Nausea or breast tenderness similar to when you’re pregnant.
-Continuous, creamy or clear-like-eggwhite vaginal discharge that persists unchanged for a month or more.
depends on how it is. if it ruptures it is an awful amount of pain. if they arent causing major pain you can find a lump down there or feel a little sting in your belly. most go away on their own.

Answer:
i had a fever all day saturday.. prior i had some coughing, achy body, and some common cold symptoms. once i got that fever sat i went to the doctor and she said it was the flu probably, but gave me antibiotics in case the coughing was a bronchitis symptom. anyway the fever was gone by mid-sunday.. and i had to get up for class today. =(
food poisoning?
Your body was probably just fighting off a mild illness: nothing too major to make you feel totally ill, but enough to slow you down. Our bodies are constantly staving off infections, so it could have been anything.
I don't know what caused it but I have had that happen. My best guess is that it was a short lived flu type illness that did not hit you too hard. Experts say that flu lasts a few days, but everyone does not have all the symptoms for that long.
yes i have, but i dont no y

Has anyone ever gotten a breast reduction?
how do I get my insurance to cover the surgery? will I like my new breasts. do I need implants to make them look better?
Answer:
If you want a breast reduction you would not get implants. Those would be for augmentations. :)
Complaints about back neck and shoulder pain, grooves in your shoulders due to your bra digging in because of your big breasts, and rashes under the breasts are good reasons for insurance to cover your surgery.
Make sure you see at least three PS's that are covered under your insurance plan. If you go to someone outside the plan you will pay more out of pocket.
I am tremendously pleased with my breast reduction surgery I had done in February 2006 and recommend it to anyone who has big breasts and back pain.
My breasts are nice and perky and not saggy and huge like they were.
I have tons more information if you want to hear about it email me.
This site helped me out a lot with my before and after surgery and the picture board was totally worth applying for:

I get burning when I am due for a period, but not otherwise If its all the time you really need to get it checked out by a doctor.
Have you started running or jogging recently? if you have your bra isn't supporting you enough and causing a somewhat like rugburn on your nipples
Since those are symptoms of breast cancer you should go get a momogram. Here are some comon syymptoms of breast cancer:
1. Change in the breast脙垄芒鈥毬⑩€灺 size or shape.
2. A lump (mass), swelling or thickening within the breast. These lumps are not always painful but can occur in the breast or in the underarm area.
3. Warm or even hot patches in the breast.
4. A flattening or indentation on the skin of the breast indicating a change in the underlying tissue.
5. Redness or scaling of the breast脙垄芒鈥毬⑩€灺 skin.
6. Unusual dimpling in the breast.
7. Discharge from the nipple. This can be dark and bloody or
clear in nature.
8. Itching, burning or scaling nipples.
9. Persistent pain or tenderness in the breast or underarm area

Has anyone else ever had irregular periods like skipping montyhs and if so does that cause infertility?
Answer:
It could, but it doesn't have to. For example, I have PCOS, which can cause irregular periods or no periods at all (my problem). I'm trying to get pregnant, and my doctor gave me clomid so I will ovulate. It actually worked once already, but I had an early miscarriage (early miscarriages are pretty common).
There are lots of reasons for irregular periods, some worse than others. Only your doctor can tell you for sure why your cycle is irregular and what your chances of getting pregnant are.
not fertillity i havint had mine since dec 31 2006 i know i mm lucky but i no im not preg
no it doesn't cause infertility
If you have a disorder maybe...but typically not
That is usually the first sign of infertility. But it doesn't cause it, it could just be a side effect of the underlying problem. Also many women have irregular periods and no problem getting pregnant. And you might be surprised it could be caused by something simple like a light left on at night. (Don't know why but that can make your periods crazy!) I suggest you read Women's body women's wisdom. Good book it cleared a lot of questions up for me. Sorry I can't remember the author but the book is thick and purple. Good luck!
no infertility! and yes irregular periods are normal with stress changes, birth control changes, weight changes, activity changes and so on. just about anything can change your cycle, try using the pill, it is a sure fire way to regulate whats going to happen everymonth.. good luck
Yes I have had my period skip for several months and then I would have one sometimes it would be heavy and sometimes it would seem like it was barely there. I have had two sons which we thought I might not be able to have because of my periods being irregular.
Has anyone else ever gotten the Mirena IUD?
I just had my IUD inserted on Thursday February 8. I experienced lots of cramping afterwards- as expected. Today is Monday and i am still experiencing very bad cramps. Should I still be cramping this bad? If not then what could be the problem?
Answer:
youll be fine
I have had Mirena for over 7 months. I had no cramping with it at all. I had a very mild backache that lasted for a week. I would call the Dr office and talk to the nurse if I was you. I'm sure it should be letting up in the next day or two. I hope you can stick it out I love having it.
I had menstrual-like cramps for about a week. If it lasts much longer or if they are unusually intense, you should contact your doctor just to make sure everything is fine. Once you get over this, though, it is a wonderful form of birth control.
I hope this helps!
I have had mine for almost 3 years. The only time I get cramps is sometimes when its near that time of the month, in which I only spot. It may just be your body getting used to a new object being inserted. If it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks, you may want to call your gyno.

Has anyone bleed for a long time from an IUD?
like over a month and if yes has it caused a funny odor from the dried bllod?
Answer:
Prolonged bleeding can be a common side effect of having an IUD - particularly the copper ones. I know this because I had my copper IUD replaced in December after experiencing constant bleeding for three months. I now have a Mirena (the IUD that contains progesterone) and have had no further problems.
Another cause for excessive bleeding (which you may also wish to investigate) is infection. People that use the IUD are more prone to infections and these can play havoc with your hormones, leading to irregular bleeding, absent periods, spotting or prolonged periods. Consult your Dr and ask them to do a swab test to rule this out.
Bleeding and spotting can be normal side effects from getting an IUD inserted depending on how long you've had it it. Mainly the first 6 months are the most irregular. If you're having issues with odor and you're sure it's not an infection you might want to carry wet naps so that you can clean the dried blood off when you use the restroom.

Has anybody here gotten the shot for.....?
Survical cancer? Are you against it if you haven't? Why?
Answer:
I think everyone should get the shot. Gardasil is a really great shot. It prevents four different types of cervical cancer. Did you know that one type of cancer you can get can be from just sitting on a toilet??? Yeah well you can! If you have the money or your insurance covers it, GET IT. This world will be so much better.
i got it about a month ago
my doc. recomend it
i feel fine
I think its great!! it's about time we started wiping out the cancers that we know how to stop before they start!! If it means one less person having to go threw what i went threw then more power to the doctors that are pushing parents to give their middle school daughters this shot!!!
i'm getting it. it's a 3 dose vaccine that's taken over 6 months and i have 1 left.
No because I'm over the age of the age group it was tested in (I'm 35), I have had problems with some vaccines in the past, and I already have issues with HPV (yes a virgin can get HPV even though most people think of it as an STD, one can get it anywhere).

Has anybody had problem with smear results coming back!?
Had my smear on the 7th dec o6, still waiting for the results, abit worried as i am on 6mths smear, when asking doc's what is taking so long the reakon that the lab are behind cause the are training people, just don't think this is good enough. What do you think?
Answer:
I had a similar problem and appreciate that if you are on 6 months smears then you may be quite anxious.
If you phone the Patient advice and liaison (PALS) team at your local Primary care trust (PCT) they will be able to help you out. Let them know that you are concerned and they can chase up your results with the lab and will call you back to let you know how they are progressing. Normally if they have not been looked at this will gt them seen to a bit faster.
You can find the number for your local pct at www.nhs.uk.
Good luck x
well if there is something wrong i guess your doctor will inform you right away . what would be his reason not to right ? don't worry . happened to me too one time . took them a month to send me my results but i was never worried ......
not Had any problems but that's not on at all but surly if there was summit wrong they would of given you your results well i hope so any way thats nhs for you
That's not acceptable. Your GP should chase this up. Normally it takes 3-4 weeks. I'll bet they have lost the results and you will need to have it done again - and you have my sympathies!
Good luck with it.
Not good at all, I would go to another doc and get another pap and make sure they are not using the same lab.
Well they are a bit behind on results, but NOT that far behind, have you phoned the hospital yourself, to check that they do have your tests, or get your doctor to check.
Mine was late, but only by 4 weeks...
A while ago in the North of England I think it was many women who had smears done were not properly screened and went on to develope terminal cancer.
So the Dept of Health set up an enquiry and sorted it all out and now there are a lot of new trainees coming into the job. You r smear wil have already been looked at and if there was the SLIGHTEST sign of anything nasty you would have been told by now.
its not really good enough at all. its your health and life thats being put aside for training. last summer i had my results and it was borderline. i was so worried and thought straight away it was cancer. in december i went back for the repeat. this fortunately came back normal. i still have to go back every 6 months for a while as im still at an at risk level. I was worried while i was waiting, it took three weeks. they do take a little longer but they should still be efficient.
i called the doctor and voiced my concerns. she said that if they thought it was serious they would have dealt with it sooner. borderline schanges are not that serious and usually rectify themselves. I think that they should be more sensitive that although it is probably not serious, they should be aware that the person involved is going to be scared. Try to call your doctor and voice that you are worried and see if they can sort it. Im sure you will be ok. I felt the same as you. try to think positive.
Hi it can take a while i have waited 3 months for mine but they did tell me that,as they had a back log of them.
When you say "i am on 6mths smear" do you mean you have to have them every 6 months because they found ab normal cells on a previous test?
If that is the case i would not be happy at all,not fair to leave you like that.
I had a ab normal result and i had to go back for a 6 month check and i did not have to wait that long for that result.
If i were you i would complain and say it's not fair to leave you waiting like this.
Good luck

Has anybody ever had an abortion?
If so how did you feel afterwards and how do you feel about it now? Do u feel like you've made the right or wrong decision?
Answer:
I'm probably going to get a lot of hate mail by saying this, but I have had one.
I was very young and the guy who did it to me was a jerk and it just wasn't the right time for me to have a baby.
Afterwards I felt pretty crappy for a long time. I still do. But I do understand that I couldn't go through that kind of thing at the time. My life was turned upside down at the time. My dad died that year, my mom kicked me out of the house that year (even before I was preg) Lost all my friends and I had to move. It was a really negative year...getting preg was the icing on the cake. In a bad way. I had way too much going on and having a baby wasn't going to help. Overall I do feel that I made the right decision. I got it done really quickly after I found out that I was...so I wouldn't get attached and what not. I usually don't tell people because people have very different opinions about it..but this is online so..I'll tell you anyway! It's not a form of birthcontrol I wouldn't recremend it to anyone who isn't sure of they want it done. You have to be 100% sure. It's something that you have to hold for the rest of your life. It can either make you a mess or you can walk away knowing that you made the right decision.
No.
I have not had one- nor do I think I could have.
Never will! Your killing the baby!
I haven't, but my best friend at the time had one. She felt, before doing it, that it was the best decision. Afterward, the guilt she felt was awful, now 10 years later, she says it was the best decision. She wasn't ready for a child and she and the father were on the outs. I didn't agree with her then, nor do I know, but people make decisions that will affect them the rest of their lives, whether that be negatively or positively.
i can't imagine having an abortion after 13 days your babys heart starts beating...its kind of like killing the baby... i have an appt tomarrow for a preg test...baby is not planned and im probably not ready for one but im so excited to find out if i am and probably will be disappointed if im not...
no. and pleaseeee dont feel like that is your only choice. you are KILLING an unborn baby. there are millions of people in the world that would do anything to have a baby - and having an abortion is just killing one. Give the baby up for adoption if you decide you cant take care of it. He/she will have a loving family and live a LIFE. You would be giving someone else a miracle. please please please think about it.
Please DON'T murder a baby. Abortion should Not be used as a birthcontrol method.
How can people sleep at night that do that?
The unborn can't speak.............give the baby a chance to live. It can be adopted if you don't want it.
I know of someone that has had one and it's a different situation for each person so it's going to be hard for you to get an answer for that......for some it was the wrong decision and for some the right one. The person I knew made the only decision she could at the time.
MAYBE AS A MALE I CANNOT HAVE A POINT OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, YET BY THE YEARS I'VE LIVED I'VE HEARD THAT SOME WOMEN HAVE SERIOUS REGRETS MANY YEARS AFTERWARD.
ALSO THIS DECISION IS PERMANENT AND IRREVERSIBLE.
Who are all of you judgmental people?! When did ByeDR.com turn in to the "conservative christian you better not have an abortion" network??!!
Do not judge lest ye be judged, losers!
yes, many years ago just after my husband and i separated, pregnant from one night stand, already a single mum of one trying to get my act tohether, have had moments of guilt/regret, but in the long run it was the best decision i could make at the time
I am really going out on a limb here....but I have had two. Before you all FREAK....the first was when I was 19 and suffered a premature rupture of the membrane at 15 weeks gestation ( for those of you who dont know what that is.....its a rupture of the amniotic sac and loss of all amniotic fluid ) I chose to abort rather than wait and see if the baby would survive/ or miscarriage. After that I fell into a deep depression. I suffered for nearly a year with severe depression ( needed medication ....ALOT ) my relationship with the father fell to pieces....I started DEPO because I could not bear the thought of another child....and then found out I was pregnant again ! Now some of you may think I should burn in H.E.L.L. for this......but I COULD NOT DEAL WITH ANYTHING MORE......I had become suicidal by that point.....so I chose termination....I was a total wreck and could not have provided care for a child. The first was a terrible experience that will haunt me forever.....but the second I dont really think about at all.
one of my best friends had one . she said she felt OK afterward but i think she was lying. i figure it was a good decision because shes only 14.
yes I have, and I really dont think that judging someone when they are considering such a drastic decision is smart...I had mine and I believe I made the right one...The childs father left me (accusing me of cheating)..I just lost my job, and to me adoption is not the answer, I would rather have an abortion than let my child go into the horrible adoption system that we have..that kicks children out at 18, I couldnt bear to see a newspaper and see a child neglected...After my abortion I will honestly say the only thing I felt was relief..I was too young, broke and damn near homeless, and to everyone who wanted to judge me, I say **** you, because Im sure you will be the first to complain when I apply for food stamps or housing...like I said...I felt relief after mine, and I know for a fact I made the right decision, I would not be where I am now, if i hadnt....If you are considering it...make sure that YOU will be okay with your decision, its nothing to take lightly

Has any women had this problem?
I have been having problems with rawness under my breasts. It really hurts. It also itches all the time. I do take showers regularly. So please, no rude comments. I have put desitin on it and it still isn't working. Can anyone help me with this?
Answer:
Powders for feminine itching will work under breasts also! Take care of some top heavy clients at a group home facility and it worked miracles for them,; and they live with this daily!!
are you losing weight. i remember when i lost ten pounds, i had this problem. if that is your case, it should wear off.
Triple antibiotic after shower.
try putting baby powder. It just keeps it dry and prevents it from getting irritated under there. Also make sure that after your shower you dry off all of the water. Seems kind of crazy, but it works for me. Hope this helps.
it could be a yeast infection....itches like the dickens, with a rash.
you could get a power from the doctor that helps out a lot.

Has any women been sterilised? has it caused more stomach trouble than had before?
Answer:
I was sterelised when I was 25 after having 5 kids, worst decision I have ever made! I have had extremely heavy periods ever since being sterelised, I am on for 10 days really heavily.
Yes it did with me.
I had very heavy periods after and ended up having a hysterectomy a few years later.
It was my own fault,my doctor warned me it would happen.
I had a hysterectomy and have had severe bowel trouble since....any time you have sugery on your abdomen you are risking adhesions (scar tissue) and if the scar tissue gets on your bowels then you will have pain and trouble going...etc
i was done years ago, it can cause pain, but i found less painful than the coil
A family member was sterilised last year and she doesn't really have stomach trouble so to speak but she definitely has heavier periods and needs to pass water much more frequently due to pain 'holding it in' - her doctor reckons that they may have rested an instrument on her bladder during the procedure therefore making it weaker
had my op 20-odd years ago - and have never once regretted it. Best thing I ever did
Has any one tryed mederma for stretch marks, does it work?
also how much of the strech marks does it reduce and if the strech marks are pink does that mean that they are still recent thanks
Answer:
The young lady above is not stupid. It does not work I have tried it for 6 to 8 months on top of exersize and see no results so dont wast your money.
Yes I tried it and no it didn't work. Stretch marks aren't scars, they are stretched skin. Mederma is for scars.
I didn't want to face that fact when I got them from pregnancy, but sadly it's true. There is nothing you can do besides surgery to get rid of them. But you can sure waste your money trying like I did, lol!
Most things out there are to PREVENT stretchmarks, not to fix them once you have them, so don't be fooled.
They will eventually "fade" and not be as noticeable.
Do not listen to the above poster, she is stupid. Stretch marks ARE SCARS so mederma CAN be used for it since it is an ointment meant for SCARS. And yes it works, you just have to be consistent. I used it for a month and my stretch marks were less noticeable. It takes up to 6-8 months for it to completely heal the scar, depending on how bad it is.
Answer:
The young lady above is not stupid. It does not work I have tried it for 6 to 8 months on top of exersize and see no results so dont wast your money.

Has any one has normal period for 2 consecutive times before detecting pregnancy?
i do not have pms but have realised have been experiencing abdominal discomfort of late the first time was 2wks before my period and immediately after my period.
Answer:
Yes, actually this happened to me with my child. I had no idea I pregnant for the first 3 months because I continued having my period! The first clues were that my pants were fitting tighter, I was having a need to urinate more, and experiencing a feeling of fullness in my lower abdomen. I was also without morning sickness, and the doctor thought I was lying about continuing to have my period. I'd advise you to take a home pregnancy test to be on the safe side.
This happened to me too with my 2nd child. I was about 3 months pregnant before I missed a period. Which, was really bad b/c I drank and did other things I shouldn't have done. But, luckily, it didn't have any effect on my baby. If you think you might be preg I would take a test just to be safe for you and your baby. Good luck.
my co worker had it for three b4 she found out

Hairy arms?
my forearm area is quite hairy. it has thin, long hairs. What can i do about them? is it ok to shave?
Answer:
my forearm hair was very thick and dark my whole life. about a year ago I finally decided to wax it.. it came out great, I loved how smooth it was and how long it lasted. the problem I found was that I had to wait so long for it to grow in enough so that I could wax it again... So I started shaving it soon after. it didn't grow back thicker or darker and the smoothness lasts a lot longer than it does on my legs. it's quick, easy and makes me feel much better about showing my arms. Give it a try if you think it will make you feel better about yourself. good luck!
shave, epilate, depilatory, light treatment
Oh no... please don't shave. I tried it with a section of my arm and it grew. I would just leave it .
But I guess you could bleach it if you think your hair is really drawing attention.
i shave my arms and it doesn't grow back thicker like everyone says
OMG NO they will get coarser and worse
you ar a brunette right
this is a figment of your self lowering esteem you are normal nobody tried to cart you to the zoo yet, right?
Find out why you doubt your beautiful Goddess self and stab them in the eye
Wax them. My ex girlfriend had them too and I told her that I miss her cute "fuzzies."
I would say it is definitely okay to shave, as long as you make it part of your every day shower routine. I shave my arms, and there's nothing weird about it. Just like with your legs, you can get stubble, but that's only if you get lazy and don't shave. Just make sure you shave it every day and use lotion to moisturize the skin and keep it soft.
The whole "shaving makes the hair turn darker" thing is total hear-say. You can look it up online, it's not scientifically true. I have blond hair on my arms. I have been shaving them for about three years. The hair is still totally blond. So I wouldn't worry about that either.
Of course you should shave unless you want to look like a Russian or Black woman....
I think shaving would make it more noticeable. It doesn't make it thicker or more coarse..but b/c the ends of the hair are blunt...it'll feel more coarse. I would try bleach, waxing or laser hair removal. Laser is more expensive, but does a much better job. There's a few places that offer lifetime guarantees so that if it ever grows back, they'll do it again for free.
I have dark hair on my arms too, but bleaching seems to work fine for me. It's not excessive..it's a normal amount but it's just dark since I'm a brunette. I think having no hair at all on my arms would look strange too, so making it lighter makes me feel better.
Yes you can shave. But just know, that you'll have to do it all the time. Cause when it grows back, it'll be thicker than b4.
Shaving is iffy, you dont want to get bumps or irritation, Waxing is better. It lasts longer. But make sure you test the wax in one small area first, some people are very sensitive.

Hair???????
im a girl and i want to know what other women do... do u leave the hair on top of your vag. or do u just wax/shave everything off down there??
Answer:
I shave everything. I feel more comfortable this way... Although hair is there to protect the area. The skin is very sensitive, so be careful not to cut and make sure the wax in the salon has been changed.... this is why I do it myself.
hm..i heard most women shave or get it waxed some just leave it there...its a personal choice
Personal preference
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK... are you a guy???? yucky!!!!
-鈾? alison
depands, sometimes wax, sometimes trim it real close, sometimes a little of both
lmao...why do you ask,,if youre a girl , then you should know and should do it the way you want to ....but if this is your first time..(bullshhht) then you should try waxing ....lol..all of it...
hey there, its your decision to leave your pubic hair or not...people have their different opinions. it's not sick so dont listen to little immature children
Well it all depends on the person. Meaning that I am the one that can shave anything of because it causes a skin condition. It depends on the lover that you are with as well. Some men don't care, some men would like you to not have anything down there. When I didn't have a problem with getting irriated skin I live to just have that little strip. Fun Fun!
Waxing hurts, but I do it anyway. It just depends on what you want to do. Some girls shave, but if you want it smoother, longer, wax.
It is really up to you. During the summer it may be neater to trim or shave so it doesn't hang out of a bathing suit. During winter you may want to keep things warm :).
I personally started shaving pretty early. Sometimes I will style it like a mohawk!
brazilian...landing strip ;)

I'm SO sick of shaving completely down there but leaving it alone is definitely not for me. Any in-between suggestions?
Answer:
Just trim it, thats sufficient, and for Samantha - try to get ur bf help u out - it can be funny and interesting and can arouse both of u quite a lot.
Im in the same boat but cant find a thing, Im way to shy to go get someone to do it for me (spa ect )
Go and get waxed. I do a brazilian wax and I don't have to go in and get it done but every 6 weeks. It's a little painful. but so worth it. especially for 4 play. no stubb at all
trim it short, and make sure your bikini line is perfect (use cream)

Hair loss at a young age?
im only a teenager, and i used to have lots and lots of hair. ive been losing hair for a while, but somewhat at a steady pace like when i would wash my hair, the weak hair would come out.
but only recently ive been losing a LOT, and my hairline has receded about three fourths on an inch, and continuing. iI dont know why this is happening,; and any ideas to cope w/ it?
Answer:
This is definitely something you should see your physician about. My sister had something similar happen due to some medications she was on. Even if you are not on anything, this is serious and there may be medications that can help.
It could be something you are eating, or something you are not eating. Ask a doctor, and be honest when you answer the doctor's questions.
I think that you should tell your mom and visit a doctor cause it might be serious. I think that it also can happen if your dying your hair to much, because of all the chemicals.
Okay firstly, before anything, id like to get your worry about being "bold" outa the way. 98% of women hair loss problems are solved, the other 2% is related to cancer i would suspect.
Hair loss in women can be more serious then in men. This is because there is most likely another reason you have been loosing your hair.
Have you been more and more stressed over time?
Are you depressed? and have been over time?
Other factors could be nutritional. Your not starving yourself are you? Many girls who want to look think like those weird models end up not eating enough food, therefore starving themselves, and that CAN cause hair loss. Make sure you dont have any kind of problem as such.
Women do loose more hair on their menstruel cycles, and also when pregnent.
I think your hairloss is hormone related and you really should get checked with a doctor.
But firstly, do not start panicing over anything, it will make things worse, and yes, i know by saying this, it does not make it easier, but im saying it for the sake of you knowing it. (if that makes sense lol).
Lastley, are you on any pills? Some pills can cause hair loss (from contraceptive pills to other medication, look up their side affects, and bring their names to your doctor for a good over all checkup).
Also do have a blood test, insist that with your doctor or get referered to a determilogost (i cant spell sorry).
I have tried my best to answer your question. I hope this pust you at ease on certain things.
Do let me know how things go (you can message me by going to my profile on yahoo).
Hope things work out! :) take care !!! BEST OF LUCK!
If you really thing that this is a problem then it would be a good Idea to talk to your parents about it (if your under 18). Propecia and Rogain have been known to help stop hair loss.
It also could be the kind of shampoo that you are using. You could always try something that is more natural.
I found some good information on hair loss as well as treatment to cure it such as hair restoration surgery etc here http://geobay.com/979d7e. Seems to have some good advice and should help you.

Hair help please?
is it ok to brush your hair when u get outta the shower and your hair is still wet ?
Answer:
Your hair is much easier to damage when it is wet. It is safer to use a wide tooth comb or pick to comb your hair, rather than a brush. This will help prevent broken hairs.
i always brush my hair right out of the shower, after its conditioned its easier to get the tangles out before you style it. you should always brush it when you get out of the shower
Its ok to do to get the tangles out. Especially if you have just conditioned it. But if you have fine hair or damaged hair, just be careful and do it a little more gently then usual as your hair is more prone to damage when its wet. You may wish to use a large toothed comb instead of a regular comb or brush.
Hope that helps. :)
I always do...I have never heard of anything being wrong with it.
Gently, yes.
NO, cause your hair is wet and is not as strong as it is when dry, this can cause it to break. Do it when it's dry.
well, when i get out of the shower, i always wrap a towell around my head to soak up the water for atleast 10 minutes. it makes it dry, but wet enough to still get out the shower tangles(: hope i helped!

ok i have a little hair down there and i cant get a wax cause my mom wont let me! cause im only 13 this sux! will peeps be able to see it wen i were a swimsuit plus even tho im going to shave it will it matter if i shave it or wax it?
Answer:
Welcome to womanhood, your hair-free days are over.
Provided you're wearing an age-appropriate bathing suit, then no one will be able to see anything. If you're really that self conscious about it, try wearing darker colored bottoms.
I'm going to go ahead and throw it out there... avoid depilatory creams such as Nair, Veet, etc. These creams and sprays are not intended for that part of the body and even the "special" formulas that are, are still far too harsh on that area of skin. And not to scare you, but not only are they bad for the skin, but the scents and chemicals that are in the cream, when used in the private areas can actually lead to yeast infections because you're putting unnatural creams and scents in an area that isn't meant to be subjected to. To avoid a long and boring explanation about that particular problem, just be wise and don't do it! :-)
There's no harm in shaving. I started shaving it all off when I was 13. (why does that sound so horribly weird in text? lol) In fact it's a lot easier to maintain when it's shaved, because well, there's nothing there to worry about! IF you do shave, then whatever you do, do NOT shave upwards (against the hair)!! If you do, it will be smooth, but within 24-48 hours you will be itching nonstop... any by nonstop, I mean NONSTOP!
Just shave downward, going with the direction of the hair growth. Make sure to use lots and lots of shaving cream/gel to avoid nicking the skin. The skin down there is very elasticized and sensitive so take your time and don't rush until you've gotten the complete hang of it. Every girl's skin is different so the key is to just take your time.
Again, welcome to womanhood... there's nothing you're going to experience that the rest of us haven't already experienced! Good luck!
Umm... i'm 12. I don't wax. Idk what you should do but mine doesn't show with swimsuits. Just watch out with white swimsuits.
Try hair remover cream. You simple smear it on and after 15 minutes wipe/or rinse it off. No pain and the hair is gone...
Good luck..
Most swim suits have liners so that shoudn't be a problem. Shave if you want, but you'll be itching like crazy when the stuff grow back. Better to just let it grow.
try shaving under running water.
it wont hurt.
you dont even need soap or shaving cream.
it really works
but make sure that the "area" is under the water
yes cause if you shave it you can cut apart of your body and it will hurt like the devil
plus every lady has hair there
If you shave it than it will grow right back. if you wax it than it will take a while till it grows back. i think u should let your mom cut it with scissors ok!
no no no no no!!!!!!!! dontttt shavvee anyythhinnnnggg....it will maybe itch and make u wanna scratch...BUT--if u did have to shave just shave the outlines so that it doesnt show when ur wearing a bathing suit...besides...the more u grow the more hair u'll get!!
if your younger you don't need it just wait a while .
I shave it. Don't use hair removal creams, because they are not meant for that region. It can irritate it as it's more sensitive than say your legs. Also don't worry about it showing throught your swimsuit, because it won't. Before I would shave completely, I just did my bikini line so the hairs wouldn't stick out the sides by accident.
Remember to think this through before you start. If you shave it and decide you don't like it, then it will be itchy growing back.
PS - I am answering this because this is ByeDR.com, but with your age my personal advice would be not to do anything until you are older.
Try Nair...it really works!
Definetely do not shave!!! The area will become dehydrated, itchy, red and you can sometimes cut yourself. When you shave you only cut the top of the hair off, shaving does not actually remove it. Because of this you can have either stages of hair growth coming through at the same time, which means you can have up to 3 hairs coming from the follicle.
You should definetely wax. I have been waxing since I was 12, (10 years) and now I have hardly any hair growth there, it's fantastic. You don't have to be of any particular age to be waxed, and you don't need parental permission (your mum wont see it so she wont know ) so you should just save your money and go to a Beauty Salon. Bikini waxing is not really that painful, it's a quick sting and then it's over. And you will be hair free for 3-6 weeks.
** A lot of girls your age wax, it's just that not many discuss it with each other because they often think that they are the only ones with hair down there and it can be embarrassing
Good luck!! :)
Your suit will cover it dear, we all get hair down there , girls %26 guys.
I think you should shave if it shows hile wearing your bathing suit but if it doesn't don't worry about it. Relax.
Sweetie you're a little young to start waxing.
As others have said, just shave the area that shows when you wear a swimsuit.
Get a good shave gel - it's better than shaving cream or soap. I like the Venus razor, though I'm sure there are plenty of other good ones.
I waxed for a while, for me after a few times I got lots of ingrown hairs, which can be painful. I prefer to shave.
Hair is normal and natural! if it starts getting long, trim it carefully with scissors.
Shaving is the best answer for your question I will explian.. how... You wet your place you want to shave use a little sahving creams for girls .. rub it on .. %26 then go ahead with shaving I 'm sure that there is no itching orr a pain or any damn thing But make sure once you ve done with swimming dry it with a clean towel then apply some good moisturizer ..
well, try Nair or Veet or whatever, to remove the hair, just do it around your bikini line, not the whole area. Or, wear a swimsuit with "boyshort" bottoms, they hide everything!!!
Good luck!
Shaving would probly be your best bet. Just be careful not to cut yourself because then that would draw more attention down there.
honey, your 13 you don't need to be waxing down there! no one should even be seeing it but you! no, your hair does not show through your bathing suit. just make sure that you shave your bikini line. you'll be all set!
you have a couple of choices. 1. shave it all with a regular razor. or 2. shave with hair clippers. if you shave with a regular razor it can itch. using baby lotion to shave with will sooth this feeling. but if you use clippers, you can shave it rather close but not bald. this will reduce the chance of itching. i used to shave with a razor, but after itching and constinate shaving for years, i tried the clippers. much better. i still touch up the bikini line with a regular razor.
Well waxing is better than shaving. It doesn't grow back as fast and you don't have ingrown hairs. That is something to think about though. If your mom won't allow you to wax then all you can do is shave. Make sure you use shaving gels and good razors!
not sure
hi
i'd say but the bikini hair remover cream from like walmart or a drugstore . it's painless and works well. it just a cream you put on you rhair and then just wipe off with wet wash cloth. very easy and painless to do. good luck

yes cause if you shave it you can cut apart of your body and it will hurt like the devil
plus every lady has hair there
If you shave it than it will grow right back. if you wax it than it will take a while till it grows back. i think u should let your mom cut it with scissors ok!
no no no no no!!!!!!!! dontttt shavvee anyythhinnnnggg....it will maybe itch and make u wanna scratch...BUT--if u did have to shave just shave the outlines so that it doesnt show when ur wearing a bathing suit...besides...the more u grow the more hair u'll get!!
if your younger you don't need it just wait a while .
Make sure you use shaving gels and good razors!
not sure
hi
i'd say but the bikini hair remover cream from like walmart or a drugstore . it's painless and works well. it just a cream you put on you rhair and then just wipe off with wet wash cloth. very easy and painless to do. good luck
